This Privacy Policy explains how Jocsoft / Veritech (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Jocsoft Auto Works Android mobile application (the “App”) and related services at https://carwash.veritech.co.ke.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect:
- Account information: name, phone number, email address, physical address, and account type (individual or corporate).
- Authentication data: one-time passcodes (OTP) sent by SMS for signup and login verification.
- Vehicle information: plate number, make, model, color, year, VIN (optional), vehicle category, and vehicle photos you upload.
- Booking information: selected branch, services, scheduled date/time, notes, booking status, and estimated price/duration.
- Loyalty and wallet data: loyalty points, loyalty tier, and wallet balance associated with your account.
- Device and app data: basic technical information needed to operate the App (such as app version and network requests). We do not sell advertising profiles.
- Photos/media: images you choose from your camera or gallery when adding a vehicle photo.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your customer account
- Verify your phone number and keep your account secure
- Register vehicles and process car wash bookings
- Send service-related notifications (for example booking confirmation, vehicle-ready updates, promotions, and loyalty updates)
- Calculate service pricing based on vehicle category
- Improve App reliability, customer support, and operations
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse
3. Permissions the App may request
- Internet: to connect to our servers and load your account, bookings, and media.
- Camera: to capture vehicle photos (only when you choose to take a photo).
- Photos / storage access: to let you select an existing vehicle photo from your device.
These permissions are used only for the features you choose to use. You can deny permissions, but some features (such as uploading a vehicle photo) may not work.
4. How we share information
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help us operate the App (for example hosting, SMS delivery for OTPs, and payment processors if you pay through the App).
- Staff at our car wash branches who need booking and vehicle details to provide the service you requested.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising.
5. Payments
If payment features are enabled in the App (for example M-Pesa or other supported methods), payment processing is handled by licensed payment partners. We receive payment status and related transaction references needed to confirm your booking. Card or mobile-money credentials are processed by the payment provider according to their own policies.
6. Data retention
We keep your account, vehicle, booking, and related records for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal/accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request account deletion as described below.
7. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including authenticated API access for account data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for adults who book car wash services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Access or update profile details in the App
- Request correction or deletion of your account data
- Opt out of marketing SMS/email where those preferences are available
- Uninstall the App at any time to stop further local data collection by the App

10. International processing
Our servers and service providers may process data in Kenya or other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we take steps to protect data transferred across borders.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will be revised when changes are posted. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
